01
For us, breeding Cane Corsos means, first and foremost, knowing and respecting the identity of the breed.
Our project began with the desire to preserve the qualities that have accompanied the Cane Corso throughout its history: a dog able to stand beside people in guarding and protection, in tending and managing livestock, and in hunting large game. A dog with presence, determination, intelligence and the ability to face different situations with confidence and independence.

That is why our selection begins with temperament.
02
Temperament
Temperament, breed type and morphology are sought and assessed together, but for us temperament is the foundation on which everything else is built. We select confident, energetic and determined dogs with steady nerves, avoiding apathy, insecurity and fear.
We look for
- Confidence
- Energy
- Determination
- Steady nerves
We avoid
- Apathy
- Insecurity
- Fear
We do not think of a working Cane Corso simply as a dog capable of biting.
The ability to bite can arise from different drives and, by itself, does not define a guard or protection dog. What we seek is a more complex set of qualities: determination, intelligence, appropriate sensitivity, fighting spirit, the ability to read situations, adaptability and the desire to work with people.
Balance is essential:
“A Cane Corso must be able to go from 0 to 100, and back again, in one second.”
03
Selecting breeding dogs
Every dog intended for breeding must, first and foremost, show us that it is an authentic Cane Corso.
Our assessment goes beyond appearance: we personally observe and test the dog’s temperament, aptitudes and natural qualities. Through research that is, in its own way, unique in the world, we have undertaken a genuine recovery of the last truly strong dogs in the breed and brought them together in our bloodline. Whenever possible, we prefer to assess dogs that have not already been shaped by specific training programmes, so that we can better understand what truly belongs to their natural genetic inheritance.
Morphology, too, must serve a purpose.
We favour athletic, solid dogs (as our motto says, “If it cannot fly, it is not a Cane Corso”), without excess weight, with good, clearly defined muscle tone, correct legs and feet, a functional muzzle of the right length, preferably with a scissor bite, open nostrils, no excess skin and a proud, noble, alert and resolute expression. For us, structure is not an end in itself: it must allow the dog to express its qualities fully.

Temperament is the engine. Structure is the bodywork. Both must serve the function.

Growing with the dog
Our selection does not end when a puppy is born.
We devote great care to choosing the owners of our dogs, carrying out thorough preliminary enquiries. We believe the Cane Corso is not necessarily a dog for everyone, and we choose the right puppy for each person according to their needs and experience.
We believe the best way to know and develop a Cane Corso is to live alongside it. From its earliest months, every experience can be an opportunity to grow: daily life, discovering new places, play, walks, and relationships with other dogs and people.
The journey must, however, respect the pace of each individual dog. We do not believe in forcing things or rushing what maturity will bring naturally. A person’s role is to observe, understand and guide the dog, building mutual trust and understanding.

A vision for the future
Our aim is not simply to breed beautiful dogs, nor to pursue performance alone.
We want to help preserve a complete Cane Corso, useful to people as a working partner as it once was, but suited to everyday life today: true to type in its morphology, solid and athletic in its structure, balanced and able to show, when needed, the functional qualities that belong to its history.
We believe preserving a breed means, above all, remembering what made it what it is.
That is why we continue to select with respect, consistency and responsibility, seeking to pass on to future generations not only the image of the Cane Corso, but what we believe to be its true essence: temperament, breed type, function and its relationship with people.
This is the Cane Corso we want to preserve.
A dog true to type.
A strong dog.
A balanced dog.
A dog capable of working.
A Cane Corso.
