Let’s be honest: the Neapolitan Mastiff, the Italian molosser, ’o can ’e presa (“the catch dog”, in Neapolitan), is the first love of everyone with a passion for Italian molossers.
The problem is that today’s outer shell often no longer matches the dog we all carry in our hearts.
A bold, proud, noble, powerful dog, one that should radiate energy and intimidate with its gaze and presence alone, reduced to a mass of sagging skin, hampered and clumsy in movement and in spirit: an animal that too often inspires pity and tenderness, and that lives a short, poor life.
Why on earth would a family want a Neapolitan Mastiff as a guard dog today?
This is where we come in: we have decided to put our experience at the service of the Neapolitan Mastiff, to “heal” it, to try to give it back the dignity it deserves and to bring it back among the great working dogs.

The project
The project is only just beginning. For now we have chosen our Nzogna to start with: a female with a natural aptitude for guarding and biting, tremendous energy and a powerful, athletic build, with no excess of size or skin. We are constantly looking for healthy adult males, who must have their temperament tested before being chosen as her partners.
This is how we obtained our first litter, from which we kept one of her daughters, whom you will find in her own album, and we will continue along this line.
